Coming from a family of painters, both he and his brother were already helping their father as teenagers. Following an education at painting school, Kenneth went to work for the renowned Dankers Decor, Belgium’s royal decorator. He has continued to work there for the past fifteen years.
“Together, we have delivered prestigious projects for respected architects such as Axel Vervoordt and Bernard De Clerck. Working for celebrities including the penthouse in Robert De Niro’s hotel in New York, Kim Kardashian’s LA home, several of Sting’s homes worldwide, etc. I now wish to share that experience among the world’s finest with the wider public through my own company.”
Those who opt for lime and mineral paints and techniques such as plastering, limestone and patina give their home a natural, weathered look. The result of painting from the heart. “We make our paints ourselves and we work exclusively with brushes. That always provides more beauty, more nuance. We use as many natural pigments and minerals as possible. A traditional colour palette can never match that. In fact, we have even used soil from a neighbouring forest or sand from a nearby beach for some clients. Every home is unique.”
